How many times have you heard someone say, “If I walk into church the walls may cave in.” Or perhaps, “God can’t forgive me for the things I’ve done.” While sin certainly separates us from God, forgiveness is always within our grasp! It is a lie from the enemy which says, “God will not forgive.” The truth is that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to pay the price for our sins. Only our unwillingness to accept the sacrifice of Jesus leaves us on the outside looking in.
Micah 7:18-19 says, “Who is a God like You, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; You will tread our sins underfoot and hurl our iniquities into the depths of the sea.” God, thank You for accepting me and for Your great mercy. Forgive me for my sins and help me live a life that is pleasing to You.
